Beautiful Freaks 46: Woohoo lalala! by Beautiful Freaks

Vandaag was Beatufiul Freaks een goed begin van de week, met overwegend vrolijke liedjes van oude en nieuwe bandjes. Zo hoorden we The Beatles en The Kinks en hoe Smith Westerns dat geluid imiteren zonder letterlijke kloons te worden. De britpop-stroming hangt natuurlijk ook in elkaar van McCartney-melodieën, maar Beady Eye maakte het soms wel erg bont op hun nieuwe album. Op het einde verschoven we de focus via een zwoel nummer van PJ’s nieuwe album van popmuziek naar jazz-muziek, met als kroonstuk de ingenieuze Valentyne Suite van de onderschatte groep Colosseum.
